The Workforce Development professionals of the Simon Kenton Council utilize Learning for Life’s Exploring program to provide work-site based career exploration opportunities for young men and women aged 14-20. Exploring programs are delivered through units called posts. Each post is guided by registered adult leaders who are members of the participating organization. Young people are invited to participate in post programs each August and September at post open houses. Although all area youth are encouraged to join, only students that attend schools that participate in the Learning for Life’s Career Interest Survey receive personalized invitations. This service is provided at no charge to area middle and high schools and students are invited to attend post open houses based on results from the Career Interest Surveys.
